I'm Katie, a Biological Sciences undergraduate with the University of Liverpool and a volunteer with the Somerset Wildlife Trust. Later this year I will also be undertaking an internship with the Trust for my Master's project, investigating the distribution of invasive Pacific oysters along the Somerset coast. Living by the coast taught me the value and beauty of marine wildlife, and my degree has furthered this by allowing me to learn about the importance of marine ecosystems. As a result, I am passionate about conserving these vital ecosystems for future generations.
