Hedgerow Survey and Plant ID Day
Event details
About the event
Join us at The University of Warwick for a fun day learning about why hedgerows are so important for wildlife, how to survey these amazing habitats and why this hedgerow data is important for conservation in our local region. By the end of the day you should feel comfortable in going out and surveying a hedgerow and identifying key plant species in the hedgerow network. We will also explore opportunities for getting involved in hedgerow surveying following the event. All data gathered is incredibly valuable to the work of the Natural Capital Assessment Partnership, managed by the Trust and which provides habitat data for Warwickshire, Coventry and Solihull.
This free of charge event has been jointly organised by the South Warwickshire Area Network for Wildlife (SWAN) and Warwickshire Wildlife Trust. Many thanks to The University of Warwick, who have kindly allowed us to use their meeting room and campus as a venue.
