About the event

First, you’ll learn all about British bats at a presentation in the Parkridge Visitor Centre, before heading out on a guided evening walk around Parkridge Reserve with our bat detectors. Hopefully, you will see and hear some bats! There will also be hot drinks (tea and instant coffee) available during the presentation, with alternative milks available.

What to bring

The event takes place on a Nature Reserve during sunset and nighttime. Appropriate footwear and outdoor clothing should be worn. The paths we will walk for this event are accessible and paved.

Parkridge Visitor Centre & Reserve lies within Brueton & Malvern Parks, owned by Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council. These parks are not lit at night. The Car Park lies outside of Brueton Park on Warwick Road, and is a five minute walk through the park. It is strongly recommended to bring a torch for the return journey through the park.
