Invitation to tender: Brandon Marsh Infrastructure Upgrade

Please find information below regarding five projects available for tender, relating to the Brandon Marsh Infrastructure Upgrade.

 

The project is split into five separate work packages:

  • Package 1 - Heating (air source heat pump)
  • Package 2- New windows
  • Package 3 -New doors
  • Package 4- New insulation
  • Package 5- Decoration

Information regarding the work packages is below.

Work sequence for Package 1 (Heating solution)

  1. To survey, design, supply, install and commission a new air source heat pump solution which will service all the buildings at Brandon Marsh Nature Centre.
  2. To survey, design, supply, install and commission new radiators, approx. 40 radiators.
  3. To decommission & dispose of old radiators.
  4. To decommission & dispose of the current old biomass boiler.

Heating - Maximum fee £120,000 including VAT (any quote above this will need to be justified in the cost break down)

Radiators- Maximum fee £27,000 including VAT (any quote above this will need to be justified in the cost break down)

 

Work sequence for Package 2 (New windows)

  1. To survey, design, supply and install new windows to the visitor centre & office building with all associated trims, approx. 64 windows in total.
  2. Disposal of removed windows and frames.

Maximum fee £40,000 including VAT (any quote above this will need to be justified in the cost break down)

 

Work sequence for Package 3 (New doors)

  1. To survey, design, supply and install new doors to the visitor centre & office building with all associated trims, approx. 14 doors in total -10 single & 4 double.
  2. Disposal of removed doors.

Maximum fee £25,000 including VAT (any quote above this will need to be justified in the cost break down)

 

Work sequence for Package 4 (New insulation)

  1. To survey, design & propose the best insulation solution for the buildings at Brandon Marsh Nature Centre.

Maximum fee £100,000 including VAT (any quote above this will need to be justified in the cost break down)

 

Work sequence for Package 5 (Decoration)

  1. To Survey, supply and provide professional internal decoration services for the buildings at Brandon Marsh Nature Centre.
  2. Decoration to include:

 

Painting- Maximum fee £20,000 including VAT (any quote above this will need to be justified in the cost break down)

Plastering- Maximum fee £15,000 including VAT (any quote above this will need to be justified in the cost break down)

Carpeting- Maximum fee £15,000 including VAT (any quote above this will need to be justified in the cost break down)

Key dates:

Brief issued – Monday 10th July 2023

Deadline for submission of quotes / tenders - 9am on Monday 18th September 2023

Appointment of contractor - Friday 6th October 2023

On-site inception meeting - (TBC upon appointment)

Completion of work – (TBC upon appointment)
