If you would like to take part in Nature Force, please contact our Volunteer Coordinator at volunteer@wkwt.org.uk
Nature Force volunteers are the driving force of our Reserves team, carrying out a wide variety of practical tasks to maintain and enhance our wild spaces. Nature Force takes place at different nature reserves each week. Sessions are midweek (Tuesday– Thursday). Minibus transport is sometimes provided from Brandon Marsh Nature Reserve, just outside Coventry.
The kind of tasks that nature force volunteers carry out varies through the year and can include anything from coppicing (cutting back tree stems to help them grow again) and scrub management in the winter, to installing fencing and invasive species control in the spring or grassland management in the summer.
What we can guarantee is a friendly atmosphere, interesting tasks and plenty of breaks for a hot drink or biscuit during your session!
Further details will be given when you become a registered volunteer, so for more information or to get involved please contact the Volunteer Coordinator by email: volunteer@wkwt.org.uk
