Demand Better For Wildlife

In 2022, a group of The Wildlife Trusts youth ambassadors’ hand-delivered a petition demanding more for nature from the government at the time, with 60,000 signatures and over 10,000 personal comments shared by the public about why nature’s recovery is important to them.

#DefendNature

We campaigned to influence the Retained EU (REUL) Bill which would give Ministers sweeping powers to remove or replace thousands of environmental laws without public consultation or scrutiny by Parliament. We strongly supported two amendments to provide greater parliamentary scrutiny and prevent the reversal of environmental protection. As of 29th June 2023, this bill is now an Act of Parliament (law).

COP26

The Conference Of Parties (COP) is where world leaders come together to talk about climate change and how to tackle it. The 26th COP summit took place between 31st October to 12th November 2021 in Glasgow.
