Appeal Ambassadors
Meet our Appeal Ambassadors
Since we launched our appeal in March 2021, it has been supported and promoted by our wonderful ambassadors. Learn more about them here.
Actor David Oakes featured in our animation. He said:
"I'm delighted to have collaborated with Warwickshire Wildlife Trust on this wonderful animation which supports their Nature Recovery Fund Appeal. The money raised will allow the Trust to create special places for wildlife across the county, restoring lost habitats and reconnecting people with nature at an unprecedented scale. To do this, they need help from every nature lover across Warwickshire, Coventry and Solihull. Donate today, and help them to double the amount of land they manage for nature, and play your part in bringing our wildlife back."
Zoologist and author Sophie Pavelle supported our appeal launch through her Twitter and Instagram page, with a combined reach of 20,000 followers.
Sophie also spoke at our 2019 AGM held at Brandon Marsh Nature Reserve.
Our Young Adult Ambassadors are volunteers aged 18-35 who are are receiving training in ecology, practical conservation, environmental campaigning, social media influencing and political lobbying.
As part of their training the Ambassadors have had sessions on creating social media campaigns and have helped to promote our appeal through their own networks.
Ambassadors Aisling Fitzgerald and Becca McGowan recently wrote articles for our Summer 2021 magazine, which you can read here.
